Coppery Curl

Another Pico here. This one's a rainbow serpent. That's actually what they're called.

Rainbow serpents are basically Australian water spirits, though they exist the world over. You may have even seen one. After a rain, they'll sometimes rise to drink moisture out of the air, then arc down to drink water from the ground.

According to legend, the first Rainbow Serpent carved out rivers in the land by slithering all over the world as it was being created.

Now, of course, there are many rainbow serpents, each in its own river, pond or lake. Supposedly, if a shaman sits next to a rainbow serpent's home, s/he gains the powers to heal the sick and foretell the future. Rainbow serpents are just cool, guys.

I haven't seen that many depictions of them, but I gave this one spikes and a different-colored head and tail because it looks cool.
